Oh Heartstrings… It’s hard because I don’t think I can be objective. Heartstrings is cleary the drama which divides. For me it’s the disappointement of the year with lie to me and midas and the drama is forgettable (maybe it’s just a good entertaining for the summer, it’s not so bad). After it’s perhaps paradoxical but I really think you can love heartstrings. Usually people tend to agree on the “bad dramas” but in this case it really depends on the people and their sensivity.

The story is very classic and clearly lack any bite. But I can’t blame Heartstrings which wanted from the start to be unpretentious, simple and realistic. But the problem is they have promised a value added, the musical side (with a contrast between classical/modern music). That’s what made me curious, and it was really disappointing. I found the exploitation of the music very artificial, or even superficial. From this point of view, dream high or even What’s up recently, are more thorough and get into the heart of the matter. Concerning the plot, it’s too muddle-headed (secondary characters who have a real potential are evicted, parachuted storylines…).

I just want to thank Park shin hye for making this drama more enjoyable. Full of vitality and lovable, it’s a pleasure to see her. After I sincerely believe that Yonghwa has progressed since You’re beautiful but maybe he needs to do 2 or 3 another dramas. And don’t tell me it’s his character who is cold, cold doesn’t mean passive and no charisma. Being charming isn’t enough.

Heartstrings was overly academic and don’t try to go any further than that. Okay, the pairing was cute but the storyline is a failure that’s why it’s not the drama of the year and not a drama I recommend.
